Annual Awards Program Recognizes Innovation in the Global Remote Technology Industry

SYDNEY – Canva, the global visual communications platform, has won the 2021 “Overall Design Collaboration Company of the Year” award by RemoteTech Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organization. The awards program, which honors the standout companies and services that enable distributed teams, recognized Canva for offering an intuitive end-to-end design collaboration platform that empowers teams of all sizes to streamline creativity.

“Today, almost all work teams are required to design, whether that’s a sales team creating a presentation, a marketing team creating a social post, or an internal communications team building a newsletter,” said Rob Kawalsky, Head of Product at Canva. “We are thrilled to be recognized for our continued investment in making design and collaboration across teams and timezones seamless. Canva is the only platform that encompasses the entire visual communication process across ideation, creation, collaboration, and publishing, and we will continue to launch even more collaboration and workplace-oriented features over the coming year.”

Canva’s easy-to-use platform offers an alternative to previously fragmented design and communication tools, offering a simple way to create everything from presentations, to social media posts, videos, prints, and more. Presentations have become the company’s fastest-growing format, with more than 250 million created to date and 600 created every minute.

“From small business owners to large enterprises, classrooms, and nonprofits, sharing a vision through design is now a mainstay for teams of all sizes,” said Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director of RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards. “Canva is dedicated to empowering everyone to design collaboratively, and the free version offers almost everything to get started, including a media library containing hundreds of thousands of free visual and audio assets, over 250,000 templates, and real-time collaboration functionality. We are delighted to recognize Canva for offering an outstanding design collaboration experience.”

Canva Pro offers upgraded functionality and unlimited access to Canva’s content library of more than 100 million assets, including illustrations, stock photos, videos, audio tracks, charts, graphs, GIFs, stickers, and more. Canva for Enterprise is built for design at scale, with customers including American Airlines, Skyscanner, and Marriott International.
